Depression: Beyond Chemical Imbalances

Why do we get depressed? Most health professionals will tell you that it’s caused by a serotonin deficiency, or a range of other chemical imbalances in the brain. For almost 60 years, the treatment of depression has been based around increasing levels of chemicals like serotonin in the brain with anti-depressant medications. But what if depression is not caused by a chemical imbalance at all? Would this mean we have been barking up the wrong tree all this time?

Many people I know, including myself have suffered or are suffering from depression. It’s something I have personally struggled with over the years, so I know first hand how debilitating it can be. This is why I was prompted to start digging deeper in to what’s really causing depression and what can be done to overcome it.

This free webinar will discuss a range of topics including;

  • My battle with depression and what I did to overcome it
  • Why the chemical imbalance theory of depression is wrong
  • What role chemicals like serotonin play in depression
  • How anti-depressants aren’t really doing what we think they are doing
  • What the real causes of depression are
  • Simple and practical tips about how to manage depression
